Ngunnawal Plant Use: A Traditional Aboriginal Plant Use Guide for the ACT Region

This guide includes descriptions and photographs of 69 plant species, including their Ngunnawal use, distribution, and method of propagation.  It is important to note that some plants are dangerous to consume and may have harmful effects if not identified or prepared correctly.    The plant use descriptions are a generic representation of the way in which Ngunnawal people used these resources.  The Ngunnawal people, used and continue to use the plant resources of this region for food, medicine, tools and weapons, fire, ceremonial purposes, water, fibre, dye and paint.
