Queensland’s Darling Downs is well-known for its rich soils and cropping and grazing industries.  It is also home to many native plants.  This book shows a selection of 49 plants the region has to offer.  Botanist and explorer Allan Cunningham named the Darling Downs in 1827 and the area includes the towns of Warwick, Toowoomba, Chinchilla and Condamine.  Almost two centuries of grazing and cropping has left many native plants restricted to roadside remnants and state forests.
