Plants of Cape York: The Compact Guide

Plants of Cape York Identifies more than 600 key plants using photographs, vegetation zones and a simple key.  This book covers the area of Cape York, North Queensland and many of these plants are also found across a wider area of northern Australia.   The plants described are those most likely to be encounteed along the few major roads in Cape York.    Large areas of Cape York are still owned by the Aoriginal people whose ancetors developed a detailed knowledge of the plants which are important for food, medicine, and for making tools and and utensils.  Elements of this knowledge are included in this book.
