A companion work to the Handbook of birds of the world [HBW]. This series illustrates and describes all the mammal species of the world and is to be completed in nine volumes. In this volume more than 470 species of primates are described in detail, with information on taxonomy, distribution, habitat, reproduction, behaviour and conservation status. The volume features more than 700 stunning photographs, 57 colour plates and 495 distribution maps.
