Melbourne’s Waterfalls: 50 Best Waterfalls within 100km of Melbourne

Melbourne’s Waterfalls is a book perfect for nature lovers in search of some great day trips to beauty spots near Melbourne. Travis’ first book on the subject (almost out of print), covered 314 waterfalls. In this curated reprint he has chosen 50 of his favorite accessible, beautiful and impressive waterfalls in the area. The book includes access directions, GPS co-ordinates, height measurements, a bit of history and beautiful photography.

Thirty of the included waterfalls have tourist friendly access, eighteen are off-track waterfalls for the more adventurous souls and three particularly noteworthy drops are documented for interest’s sake even though there is no public access to them because they are on private property or are in restricted water catchment areas.

About the author: Travis is a musician and music teacher and apart from titles relating to music, has authored six landscape photography and guidebooks with a focus on unmapped waterfalls. He has found over 300 unmapped waterfalls in Victoria and has had 189 of these added to the Vicmap data set. He has won a number of prestigious awards for his photography over the years as well as holding solo exhibitions of his work.
